  • Certified Instructor & CadClub Lead

My work with Autodesk software started aged 14 in the form of a Level 2 qualification in Engineering Design. My initial exposure, however, was learning to Code and using game design software like Unity and Unreal to create visually unique spaces and models. My shift to using Engineering Design software like Autodesk Fusion, meant i had to adapt my creative skill to create not only things that look good in the virtual environment, but that actually work in the real world. The marriage of these two vital aims in a project is what I believe to be the foundatioin of success in Computer Aided Design and Manufacture.

My industry experience ranges from Automotive Design, Robotics, Construction and Medical product design working at a multiple companies for short time periods over the last 4 years.

I’m currently studying for a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield and have been working for CADCAM Educators Hub as a Certified Autodesk Instructor since 2024.

  • Co-Director and Instructor at CADCAM Educators Hub

Having graduated with a Master's degree in mechanical engineering I spent a number of years working in the automation control and robotics industry. However, I found that I had a passion for developing skills and made the change to become a teacher. Fast forward 15 years, and I am still as passionate as the day I started. I have been using Autodesk products for 22 years, and having made the jump into Fusion 6 years ago, I see it as the ideal tool to help the next generation of engineers to build the evolution.

After leaving school I got a job in care work, whilst in University studying Sport Science. From the care work I realised a love for helping others, and knew my career would be dedicated to this in one way or another. In the third year of my degree I specialised in Biomechanics, and had access to cutting edge facilities, cementing my excitement for using technology for education. Going into a career in teaching meant I could combine my passions, and since day 1 I have used Autodesk software as the key driver of advancing education.
